3 - B - 2 RSS Aggregator

I used an RSS Aggregator in a previous grad class and while involved in PLP, however once those two experiences were over I did not really keep up with the feeder.  While I was using the RSS feeder it was very beneficial for keeping blogs, websites, and resources very organized.  With all the great Web 2.0 tools out on the Internet using the RSS feeder is a great way to keep up-to-date with everything new.  Once I started using the RSS feeder for this weeks assignment it was nice to get back to using Diigo.  I realized that using this tool is going to enhance my teaching because I can reference this site anytime I need an idea, or want to incorporate a new lesson into my arsenal.  I am looking forward to seeing the fellow students links to get some new material to use while teaching.

  1. HI
Do not know if my last comment took -- but, I use Feedly as my RSS tool and Instapaper as my social bookmarking tool. They are both extremely useful in assisting me with researching topics for the courses I teach and more importantly with sharing resources with students via Google+ as a sharing tool.

  2. I, too, have only used the RSS aggregator for previous courses. There are so many different options to use for this and I'm pretty sure each class I took, wanted me to use a completely different one than I had already signed up for. I felt this was good though because I got to learn how many different aggregators were set up. I love the organization of these sites and they don't seem too difficult (besides the NetVibes I had to set up for our course this semester). I like how the feeds are constantly updating. I need to remember this and make reference to my feeds to keep current on everything that is not only going on with the school world, but also the world in general.
